Privacy Policy
Motqn is committed to protecting your privacy and the security of the educational data processed through our AI-powered platform.
GDPR alignment
As a platform serving teachers and schools, we treat international data-protection standards—including the General Data Protection Regulation—as an important part of how we design and operate the service.
Information we collect
We may collect the following information to provide and improve Motqn:
- Account information such as name, email address, and school.
- Educational content you upload or create, including assessments and lesson plans.
- Product-usage data used to improve performance and the user experience.
How information is used
- Providing requested features such as automated grading and lesson preparation.
- Improving the accuracy and effectiveness of our AI-powered workflows.
- Communicating with you about support, updates, and new features.
Data security
We use encryption and security controls intended to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Payments are processed through protected third-party payment services.
AI processing
Motqn uses Google Gemini to process uploaded content such as assessments, educational materials, and assistant conversations for features including grading, content generation, and the Tabshoura learning assistant.
- We use the paid Gemini API, under which Google states customer data is not used to train its AI models.
- Documents are uploaded for processing and removed from processing servers after the task is completed.
- During grading, a student name may be detected to match the paper with a class list, then obscured in the stored copy.
- Student files are kept in private storage that is not publicly accessible.
Service providers and international transfers
We rely on trusted providers whose servers may be located outside your country:
- Google Gemini — AI processing
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage
- Stripe — payment processing
- Netlify — application hosting
International transfers are made on the basis of your consent and appropriate contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, where applicable.
Student data and the responsibility of teachers and schools
- The teacher or school is the controller of student data; Motqn acts as a processor on its behalf.
- The teacher or school confirms it is legally authorized to upload student data and has obtained required consent, including parental consent where applicable.
- Student data is used to provide educational services and is not sold or used for advertising.
- Student data can be corrected or deleted through the teacher account or by contacting us.
AI use and human oversight
- AI-generated outputs may contain errors and should be reviewed.
- Automated grading results are assistive; the teacher makes the final grading decision.
- Tabshoura includes safeguards for educational settings that may include children, and teacher or parent supervision is recommended.
- Motqn does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely through AI without human involvement.
